RZ2 Networks is a virtual server provider based in Canada. This page explains what personal information we keep, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions and requests go to support@rz2.com.
What we collect
- Your email address. You sign in with Google. We ask Google only for your verified email address and never see your Google password, contacts or other account data.
- Your servers. Hostnames, plan, location, operating system, assigned IP addresses, SSH public keys you add, and the actions you take in the panel.
- Traffic totals. Bytes sent and received per server each month, used to apply the transfer allowance. We don't record what the traffic contains.
- Billing records. Orders, invoices, renewals, account credit and refunds. Card payments are handled by Stripe and crypto payments by CoinPayments. We never receive or store your card number.
- Emails we send you. Recipient, subject and delivery status. Message text is deleted once it has been sent.
- Technical logs. Our web server logs request details, including your IP address, to keep the service secure and working. These logs are kept for a limited time.
Root passwords are generated for each new server and stored only until you view them once.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your information, show ads, or use analytics or tracking tools. We don't look at the data on your server unless you ask us for help, or we need to investigate abuse of our network or are required to by law.
Cookies
We use a single cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms from forgery. It expires after 14 days. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
- Google, to sign you in.
- Stripe and CoinPayments, to take payments. Each handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, and network operators or victims when needed to stop abuse coming from a server.
Your account and billing data are stored on our own servers in Canada. Your virtual servers run in the location you choose: Vancouver (Canada), Frankfurt (Germany) or Salt Lake City (USA).
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. When a server is cancelled or not paid, it is suspended and then permanently deleted after a short grace period, together with its disk. Database backups are kept for 14 days. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires, currently up to six years in Canada.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account. Deleting your account removes your servers and personal data, except billing records we are required to keep. Email support@rz2.com from the address on your account and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your local privacy authority, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also email you.
